From Catholic Apologetics Resource
If you are here then I assume that you know what Catholic apologetics is. In short it is from the Greek word apologia (απολογία) which simply means "a defense" and that is what it is all about. For those of you who have not noticed, being a Catholic in this country can be downright difficult. Many of your friends and coworkers probably have some problem or other with the Church. Archbishop Sheen told us "There are not 100 people in the United States who hate the Catholic Church. There are millions, however, who hate what they wrongfully believe the Catholic Church to be." This wiki is actually aimed at the run of the mill people who fit this category. We aren't trying to convert (only God can do that) we are only trying to open hearts and minds a little bit. If you are interested in a topic and want to talk with us about it, even if you disagree, well you are most welcome to do so. We ask you to keep a spirit of 1 Peter 3:15, that is always be ready to give a defense, but do so with gentleness and reverence. The "discussion" areas are for such disagreement. Because of the nature of this sort of site the main content areas must be protected, but the materials in the "discussion" areas will be purused and moved as seems suitable into the main content areas.
Your content might be reworked a bit for formatting and to make clear who is for and against a proposition but it will most likely be completely retained in the ongoing work here.
In any case welcome and God Bless!
